Hi ,
Can anyone let me know how to retrieve the user-Id of the user he has logged in into the system ie. the host user id from java script. I am using applets in my application, but I run into security Exception when I call System.getProperty(user.name) in Netscape but not in IE in the applet and access the same in script.
Could any one let me know how to retrieve the host userId of the system.
It is very urgent.
Thanks in Advance
Praveen

I am not an expert in this matter, but I think that you have to enable something in the applet for netscpe in order to alow the javascript to access the variable. I think Netscape is worried what JavaScript can do with an applet....
