POSITION SUMMARY The System Operations Specialist, Data Center Services, is responsible for operational support and management activities involved with the physical infrastructure required to host Disney�s Online Businesses. This includes the planning, installation, testing, maintenance, documentation and support of server hardware, systems software, monitoring and management agents, and the data center physical plant. This position reports to the Manager, Data Center Services and will work closely with other Technical Operations Teams including the WDIG Service Operations Center (SOC), Networking Services, Data Architecture Services, and Site Integration Teams to host the variety of Walt Disney Internet Businesses and Services which including ESPN and ABC. Primary responsibilities include working closely with a team of System Engineers in a professional data center environment managing the provisioning, building and management of all hosting infrastructure including power equipment, rack and cabling, enterprise servers and networking devices. Ensuring maximum reliability through eliminating single points of failure and providing 24x7 monitoring is a critical success factor for this position and team.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION �Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems desired, 2-4 years experience managing Enterprise Equipment to support large Internet or Intranet Services required �4 years of IT operational experience supporting robust e-commerce or Online Businesses in a 24X7 production environment �4 years experience managing Windows Server platforms (2000/2003) �3 years experience with Linux/Unix systems administration �Knowledge of data life cycle and Enterprise backups (ex. Legato Networker) �Thorough understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, FTP, SSH), general networking technologies, network architecture and connectivity troubleshooting �Experience with server hardware builds, OS install, patching and maintenance �Strong experience with relevant scripting or programming languages (perl, JavaScript, Python, C, Java, etc.) �Knowledge of server systems design, RAID and disk subsystems, cluster management, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement �Familiarity with multi-tiered, highly available web applications in a hosted datacenter environment � including administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance �Familiarity with SAN/NAS technologies �Familiarity with basic project management methologies �Solid understanding of IT Security best practices
