I have two websites that I have developed using Dreamweaver and Fireworks. I need to revise them to not have Dreamweaver generated code because I discovered my license was not valid. I am thinking that I will use Homesite for my editor but I am not sure what to use for the image editing software. I do not want to spend a lot of time using a tool and I do not want to spend a lot of money on the tool. I am thinking that I should use Paintshop Pro, but I am hoping that you can give me some advice. Also I am looking for a book that will contain the necessary information to assist me in re-writing the websites. I know basic HTML, but I do not know anything about CSS or java script. I do know Java and some JSP. Thank you very much for your advice on how to accomplish this task!
You really do not need books for CSS since there are a lot of good refereces on the net for it. this site is a good place to start http://www.echoecho.com/documentationbanner.htm I persoannly do not use a WYSIWYG programs for developing code. I use EditPlus 2 which is a text-pad type of editor, but that is hard coding html. With nothing fancy. The following link explains most of the common editors out there. http://home.earthlink.net/~intelligentlife/ItemMenu/editors.html Maybe someone else can shed light on the imaging programs since I am not that big into graphics Eric

Thank you very much for your response. I found an excellent thread on the pros and cons of different graphics programs on echoecho if anyone is interested in reading about this: echo echo graphics program thread At the same site, a thread of which editor is the best: echo echo editor program thread and a myriad of other useful things. I downloaded TextPad and Edit Plus 2 to see if I like them better than Homesite. Thanks so much for the good advice!
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
