Job Summary:

This position participates actively in the development and maintenance
of our customer-facing health portal application and content, meeting
the needs of the internal Client Services, Product Development &
Customer Care Organizations, as well as external Clients.

In an individual contributor role, the successful candidate will be
delivering all aspects of web application development: presentation
layer, business logic layer, back-end integration layer, as well as
integration with third-party web services / applications. You will be
working from business and functional requirements documents,
wireframes, & preliminary technical specifications. You will be
creating detailed analysis & technical design documents to modify and
create pages in our Personal Health Portal using both custom and
application server APIs. You will be using Use Case driven approach
towards Object Oriented Analysis and Development methodology. You will
participate in all phases of our application development life cycle, in
a challenging work environment. You will assist with estimation and
planning and proactively provide progress report on the status of tasks
assigned to you. You will participate in technical discussions with
internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
�Develop / Expand Use Cases � normal flows as well as exception flows �
from business and functional requirements documents, wireframes, user
flows & preliminary technical specifications, and create detailed
analysis, technical design & implementation documents.

� Develop and maintain Java classes, HTML and JSP templates.
� Debug JSPs and Java classes to fix bugs and improve performance.
�Implement customization of chrome, navigation, and flow on a per
client basis.
� Assist with publication of new versions and patches to the public
site.
- Provide technical support to QA and Customer Care issues.

� Incorporate standards and design patterns to increase
maintainability, reusability and reduce bugs.
� Ensure that the portal components meet the scalability, flexibility,
usability requirements and graphical designs on major platform/browser
combinations.
� Estimate work effort, identify task dependencies, and assist with
identifying development risks & corresponding mitigation plans.
� Proactively report progress on assigned tasks.
� Participate and contribute in brainstorming sessions with internal
and client teams to determine the best technical solutions to business
problems.
�Maintain detailed technical analysis, design & implementation
documents.

Secondary Responsibilities:

� Participate in the development of coding standards, fine-tuning
development processes, methodologies and templates that improve
efficiency and quality.

� Train new development staff on programming practices, and our
development environment.

� Contribute to the strategic development of the company product and
tools.

Required Qualifications:

� 3+ years hands-on, detailed technical analysis, design &
documentation experience with web application development using OOAD
methodology & Use Cases.

� 3+ years hands-on coding with HTML, JavaScript/XHTML/XSLT/CSS for a
broad range of browsers and platforms.

� 3+ years hands-on coding experience in Java, JSP and Tag scripting
language.

� 3+ years hands-on experience in translating a graphical page design
to HTML and JSP code.

� 3+ years hands-on coding experience in developing J2EE compliant
portal applications.

� 3+ years hands-on coding experience in XML based messaging.

� 3+ years hands-on experience in JDBC, SQL with Oracle 8i.

� 3+ years Experience with WebLogic Application Server.

� 2+ years Experience integrating third party components with existing
applications.

� 2+ years Experience using UML and Design patterns.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

� Detail oriented team player with good organizational skills.

� Natural inclination to creating and maintaining detail technical
analysis, design & implementation documentation.

� Must show a commitment to excellence and possess strong problem
solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as written and verbal
communications skills.

� Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and the ability to work quickly
and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and
priorities.

Desired Qualifications:
� Foundation in Web Services, Digital Security

� BS in computer science.
