Suggestion for best book about Javascript, DOMs, html

Can somebody suggest what they think is the best book about javascript, html, and doms. I want somethign that I can use immediately. I have patience but I also don't want to read a reference book. I want the basic idea, and I want a book that gives me ideas about what I can do with javascripts, what I should do, and such, and then gives me an easy way to refer back to the DOM paradigm as well as javascript functions.
If somebody knows of something like that I could use a suggestion, thank you.
