The QA Engineer will provide expert resources to test and validate our feature sets and 1st generation product offering across an array of browser types and operating systems. He/she will work with the VP of User Experience and development team to define and build testing scripts to validate product behaviors, user experience standards, data storage and retrieval. The QA Engineer is capable of providing both manual/visual testing as well as defining and setting up automated testing as appropriate.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in functional testing and the ability to design and develop test plans. In order to be successful, he/she will couple superior testing abilities with a strong understanding of the technical requirements and proven diagnostic and debugging skills. The QA Engineer must thrive in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment, work collaboratively, and has the ability to manage his or her own projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Roles & Responsibilities
� Front-end UI validation: Define & build testing scripts for product behaviors, user experience standards, data storage and retrieval.
� Middle-tier & Back-end testing: Implement QA test methodologies with in-depth awareness of systematic testing techniques, strategies, tools, environments and their deployment across an n-tiered system.
� Analyzes test data, reports results, and makes recommendations for corrective action.

� B.S. in computer science or related field.
� Minimum 5 years experience in QA, emphasis in planning and implementation of test plans.
� Proficient with load testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, OpenSTA.
� Experience of using test automation tools, ideally Mercury products.
� Experience with testing suites like HTTP unit, Junit.
� Works with Atlassian's JIRA (bug/task tracking software).
� Deep and experienced background in functional testing and cross-browser support issues coupled with the ability to plan, design and review test plans.
� Strong understanding of front-end web technologies including JavaScript, DHTML, Ajax, and CSS.
� Knowledge of Java, Struts, XML, SQL as well as proven diagnostic and debugging skills.
� Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills.
