resort drop down list after reload (F5) with Mozilla

Hi everybody,

I have a problem regarding the reload button (F5). It works while using IE but not with Mozilla!

I have a dynamically (in HTML by calling Java functions (not Javascript)) generated drop down list. The items in the drop down list are depending on entries in an SQL database.

When I load my page the first time the correct item is shown at the first position (item1).

To update my items I use a button, not OnChange or something like this. I just forward it to another servlet called UpdateHandler and there my sql database will be updated. Finally I sendRedirect to my page again.

When I now change the drop down list from item1 to item2 the SQL data base won't be updated. If I push the reload button item1 should be again displayed at the first position but it isn't. There will be still the previous selected item2 shown.

Does anybody has a solution for this behaviour that item1 one will again be shown on place one? If I add <option selected ... it doesn't matter.

Thanks for your help

Joe
