how to validate dynamically generated testboxes

i have a jsp where a dynamically generate 5 or less than 5 textboxes.after i click on submit i want to check whether these textboxes are filled or not.the box names are as a1,a2,a3...where the numbers 1,2,3... are generated dynamically and then the checkboxes are generated.so how do i check these boxes are filled in or not in the java script.please help it is very very urgent.i gotta deadline today.your help will be appreciated.

you can use the form element array to loop through the elements...
