H-1B transfers are welcome Java, XML Developer I am seeking a Java/XML Developer to join a fast-paced Applications Group in downtown Manhattan. The Java/XML developer will be a member of the integration team tasked with designing and development of system to system integration, ensuring the file/data transmission and maintaining/supporting the systems integration upon its completion. The Java/XML developer will work closely with team members to ensure the implementation of the company's integrations to meet the client�s need. Responsibilities- Work interdependently with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Write XSLT to translate proprietary XML to Sterling XML
- J2EE programming/configuration to connect Sterling to proprietary Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Design and Develop proper code (controller class) to call services and make data available to a GUI front-end.
- Provide program documentation and system documentation that is understandable by other technical people
- Write applications that are easy to support and maintain
- Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of applications
Technical Skills- Solid OOD/OOP foundation
- J2EE/JSP Framework (Spring, JSF, etc.)
- Apache WebServer Web Server and JBoss Application Server
- Familiar with WSDL, XML Beans, creating XSLT template, creating XML Schemas
- Strong XML processing experience (XSD, XPATH, XSL/XSLT)
- Communication Skills to present ideas and concepts effectively, Strong and proven problem solving capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to set and meet deadlines
- Have the ability to think logically and analyze system problems
- JavaScript, XHTML/HTML, CSS (optional)
The following are a plus:- JSF
- Version Control (e.g. Subversion, VSS, CVS)
- Knowledge of communication protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS
- Spring, Hibernate
- Database design/logical and physical data models
- Information architecture experience
- Experience with MS Project and Visio
Work Experience and Education- 2 � 4 years experience with object-oriented design and programming using J2EE/JSP Frameworks
- 2 � 4 years experience with creating XSLT templates and XML Schemas.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field of study
- Formal software development life cycle process training desired
- Formal software development life cycle process training desired
