Description of Functions and Responsibilities: This Product Manager is the business owner for the Non-Windows product set and our enterprise wireless strategy. They will work with engineering, customers, support and sales to define, design, and deliver product capabilities required to be successful in target markets. The PM will provide strategic product direction for our non-windows AV products (desktop/server), AV engine and enterprise wireless initiatives targeted to small/medium businesses through large Enterprises. He/She s will be responsible for defining and communicating the product strategy and product roadmap for the product line as a part of McAfee's Systems Security solutions. He/She will work in a matrix organization, teaming closely with cross-functional teams both locally and in remote locations. The Product Manager will work with Sales and Services organizations to maximize revenue generated from the assigned product areas as well as ensure the success of customers.
Experience Required: - Successfully written PRDs and MRDs for enterprise-class software solutions - Led product feature requirements definition - Proven ability to define technical software solutions at a business, strategy and functional level - Experience working across all key market segments from small businesses to large enterprises - Experience working with multiple routes-to-market including direct and channel models. - Successfully launched new software products to the Enterprise (Fortune 1000) market - Proven track record of attaining cross-functional consensus and delivery of goals on time - Experience with security software strongly preferred - Familiarity with UNIX (primarily Linux) based products strongly preferred
Qualifications/Education � 10 years+ of over all experience with 4-6 years in enterprise or SMB software product management �4 years Security, Anti-Virus or Networking industry experience is preferred �Must possess business analysis skills and the ability to translate business planning into product execution. �Knowledge of systems management solutions strongly preferred. �Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions; Excellent presentation skills and the ability to adapt messaging to target audience. �Proven ability to influence across an organization without direct hierarchical ownership of teams or products. �Demonstrated ability to turn a deep understanding of customer�s security and business concerns into product requirements and product vision. �Ability to present to both highly technical audiences as well as non-technical, business focused Individuals. �Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Computer Science or a related field. MBA a plus �Travel 10-20%
