I have issues in providing the option to user to open / save dialog box .

I generate a Excel file through JReports and then redirect to a JSP page.

After displaying the contents of the JSP, i need to give the User the Option to open / save the file i generated.

I have the URL to the file in my JSP.

DO let me know if i can do this through Java Script.

Thanks in advance for your help.

IE only has
window.execCommand("SaveAs", true, "filename");
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
