Innovar Group has an immediate need for a Senior Software Engineer for a valued client in Denver, Colorado. The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for performing the most complex areas of product design activities including design, systems analysis, implementation, and maintenance of several projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Performs the most complex product design activities which may require extensive research and analysis; Designs, implements, and maintains multiple highly complex products; Completes projects on time and according to software specifications; Participates in product design meetings; Assists in product architecture; Writes code (programming statements) using various programming languages; Writes documentation to explain what the code does to use as a reference in production cycle, document changes, fixes, and codes; Conducts unittesting and integration testing on software for functionality and limits; Analyzes old and current code for problem resolution;
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred and three (3) to five (5) years experience developing web based applications and one (1) to two (2) years experience with software design and architecture and three (3) years of full life cycle development experience; or equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Java, Threads, JBoss, Linux, JGroup Cluster, C, C# experience with software design and architecture.
Familiarity with web based scripting languages. Ability to learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technology field. Ability to lead development efforts. Ability to work with project cycles. Ability to think outside the box, adapt to circumstances, learn from co-workers, and share information and experiences. Strong PC skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Visio. Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation. Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently. This position is located within an office environment and consists of many hours sitting. Some national and international travel required.
