I have a textArea and the default behaviour of IE is when u type something and hit esc button the text will disappear. Now I want to put a confirm box when I press esc button and if I select ok ..then only the text in the text area will disappear..

I have been trying for some time to solve this.I can trap the eventcode and that for the esc button is 27 but the text is disappearing and I cannot hold it ...

any clues ???

I will meet the fairy queen soon !
