Floating Text

I have lot of anchor items on a page and under each of the subtext's I have a 'go to Top' link... since I have a lot of elements like this the page looks crowded.

Now I want to have just one go to Top link, that appears at the bottom of each page, when one scrolls down the link should still appear at the same place... I know we can have a fixed background image(stays there even when one scrolls), but I am not sure how to achieve a fixed text that always appeats at the same place.

Please help, and do advise if this is a good practice to have something like this and if this feature works for majority of the browsers.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
