I've got a code I found on the net many moons back (and I can't seem to find it now). It's a little buggy and I was wondering how to improve it. It works, but it's jerky, doesn't always resize, doesn't always follow the mouse, etc. If I switch from px to % (and change the appropriate numbers) it gets even weirder in action, sliding quite far on much less mouse movement.

Got any ideas how I could make this work better?
