Why some text fields appear yellow in IE?

Hi all,

We are developing some forms in HTML, but some fields have yellow background color. We are placing HTML text fields in <td>s. We tried to give some style classes with different background colors, but still some fields, with names like name, address, city, etc. appear yellow. We tried changing their names (Eg. name1), still the problem persists.

It will be very helpful if you could give a solution on how to avoid this, so that the text fields will take the bg colors in the style classess applied in the program.

However, we noticed that if the text box is accompanied by some text in the same <td>, it displays the text box with teh background color in the style class.

Sample Code:

Here, IE shows the yellow color:
<td>
<input type="text" class="text" id="name1" name="name1" maxlength="120" size="30">
</td>

Here, our style color is displayed:
<td>
Name <input type="text" class="text" id="name1" name="name1" maxlength="120" size="30">
</td>

Thanks in advance,
Jenny
