I am retrieving the particular record(read only mode) from the Database. Now i want to edit those particular record with the help of one edit button.

After pressing the "Edit" button all existing data should come in "editable" form.(read & write mode). So that anybody can see the existing data & modify as per their requirement.

So which attribute of html i have to use ?

can anybody help me out. Thanks in advance.

You could show the data in text fields with readOnly set to true. When Edit is clicked, turn readOnly off so that the fields become editable.
