Is it possible to submit embedded object like Excel Sheet from the browser to server?.

Background
I have a html page which contains mulitple section of data and in one section i have a iframe in which i have embedded Excel Sheet. Now I would like submit the iframe so that server reads the byte[] of the excel sheet.

Could anyone can help in resolving the problem

No. You can upload a file from the client to the server using an input element of type "file" (and appopriate server-side code), but you cannot submit the content of an iframe.

I heard that we can use ActiveX and achieve it and but NOT sure how to do it.

Could be, but I never code anything that's proprietary and limited to only IE, so I wouldn't know.
