How to use Layers in JSP?

Greeting Ranchers,

There are three tables in my JSP page say Table1, Table2 and Table3. I want to use Table1 at the time of loading the JSP page. Then I'm making an AJAX call, now after this I want to use Table 2 or Table 3 on the basis of a parameter flag. Can i achive this through layers? If yes, how can I do this... Is there any other way to acheive this functionality?

There is nothing in JSP pertaining to layers or Ajax.
These are all client side concepts.

Moving this thread to HTML/Javascript.

there are no elements called layers (except back in the NN4 days). Divs are your layers. You can set the display CSS property to none or block to hide and show the element.
