I am having a web page with a top menu. When i click on the top menu it shows all the sub menu behind the combo box. I face this problem only on IE 6.0 but works fine in fire fox. I even tried using the z-index but even that doesn't work. Can anybody help me in this.

The problemis talked about a lot over the net. The select eleemt is a windowed element. Two fixes is o change your layout or use an iframe behind the menu.

Note that this is an IE-only problem.

Another fix I've seen used is to hide all select elements when a floating element (menu, modal dialog, etc) is displayed, and reveal them again when it is dismissed.
