A text editor? I'm not sure what you are after. Ajax is merely the use of XMLHttpRequest Javascript object in conjunction with the other DHTML tools. It's built in to the browser. Nothing to download, nothing to install. [ December 21, 2006: Message edited by: Bear Bibeault ]

Or better yet say "I do not yet know as I have not investigated Ajax enough to responsd to that question". But Bear's answer covers most of it. But that answer alone does not make one knowledgable of ajax techniques.
