What is the major part of Ajax? Like without using this developer cannot be attaining this.

I'm not sure what you are after.

Ajax is merely the use of XMLHttpRequest Javascript object in conjunction with the other DHTML tools.

It's built in to the browser. Nothing to download, nothing to install.

Let say if someone ask me the same question(my subject) in interview ?
what would be the answer? (is this the same what you replied me or need to include something)

Or better yet say "I do not yet know as I have not investigated Ajax enough to responsd to that question". But Bear's answer covers most of it. But that answer alone does not make one knowledgable of ajax techniques.
