Java Production Support Specialist (Decatur, GA)

Thompson Technologies has a Production Support Specialist opportunity with a portal software solutions provider to Fortune 1000 clients. The Production Support Specialist is responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the application, analyst/research duties, and developing enhancements to the application. The Production Support Specialist works directly with the Client Program Manager as well as third party service providers.

This is a 6 month contract to full-time position. The position is located in Decatur � candidates must be local.


Required Experience:

� 5+ years of full life cycle development, preferably in a consulting environment

� SDLC experience

� Technical requirements: JSP, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, SQL

� Working knowledge of basic Linux commands and Shell Scripting

� Working knowledge of J2EE web applications and web server environments

� Basic understanding of Oracle databases

� Experience with Web Analytics tools

� Strong verbal and written communication skills

� Previous experience interacting with clients and users

� Potential for 1-2 trips to Florida for a few days each trip


Desired Experience:

� Experience working with a production environment

� Understanding of PGP encryption

� Experience with Velocity templates
