Hi.
Did you see Google's home page ?
At the top right corner, there is a small window with close button.
Also, in InfoQ.com , when you click on Login link, a small window (with a form) moves from up to down and when you click on the close button, the window disappears.
How to create these effects ?
Well, I don't what is the name of this combination of these tricks so I can't google for them.

It's just a hidden div that is turned on when a link is clicked.

Sorry Gregg but your snippet doesn't work !
I copied it and paste it and nothing happened.
What about the small close button of Google's window (it is just like the close button of Windows OS) ?
An image with JavaScript associated with it maybe ?

How to position the pop-uped div under the link not above it ?
(I'm really sorry, I'm not a JavaScript guy but I really like to know to perform these tricks).
Thanks.

They aren't "tricks". It's just javascript/DHTML. You need to get the position of the link and dynamically adjust the popup div's LEFT and TOP positions accordingly. Getting the position of an element is a pretty easy google search or just search this forum.
