Hi,
Does anybody know how to access the MS-DOS command line from a web browser (IE or NetScape) In the sense I would like to execute the batch files from a java script or run the dos commands from a Javascript that sould execute on command line.

Thanks in Advance.

Do you mean on the client computer?

Of course not. Can you imagine the security implications if this were possible?

What exactly are you trying to do? If you want to execute code on the client system from a web page you've got very limitied options. You'll need to investigate signed Applets, or perhaps ActiveX controls (if you don't care too much for your visitors).

You are right. I would like to execute code on the client machine from a web page (on the same machine). Do you have any ideas how to use ActiveX controls.

Thanks in advance.
