post tracker needed

I think there should be a list of threads in which you've posted so you remember which conversations you are in.
For example, on Sun's developer forums, they have this "watch" feature that keeps track of all the threads that you've posted in. You can delete from this list after you've decided that you no longer want to participate in a particular thread.
Since I'm such an avid poster, I always lose track of where my postings are. Thanks.
ps: yes, I know about the email notification. no, i do not think it is a good idea.

Try the search facility. You can search for all posts by a particular person (yourself) over various periods of time.

I agree, I like the watch feature they have at the Sun site.
The search feature is slow, doesn't let you restrict the search by group, and just isn't as convinent.
For the email feature - do I have to list my email address in my profile. Would rather not do that.

The search feature here can [/i] be restricted by group (forum)much faster that way. However the only two options are (1) restrict it to a single forum, or (2) search all forums. If you want to search three forums, you must run three single-forum searches. Annoying. But still much faster than a search of all forums. Whenever I search all forums, I always do it in a separate window, and read other posts for a while because it's going to take some time.

For e-mail notification, your e-mail does not have to be visible to others for this to work. On the profile page, just answer "no" to the question "Keep your email address viewable to other users when you post notes?" But please be sure your e-mail address is correct when you select e-mail notification - all bounced replies end up getting redirected to me (moosesaloon@javaranch.com), and I just delete them from my box because I have no time to try to figure out how to reach people who haven't supplied a valid e-mail. So I personally regard the e-mail notification feature as a bane on my existence, but some people seem to find it useful.
