Summary
As Lead J2EE Engineer, you will lead core architecture and engineering efforts on strategic technical direction. You will deliver advanced capabilities for our global, low-latency, highly-available portfolio management platform, and be responsible for the continuous improvement of the systems strategy for our state-of-the-art portfolio management applications. You will be part of our Investment Systems Department.

Reports to: The Manager of Equity Portfolio Management Systems
Duties/Responsibilities

Take a hands-on, lead role in system architecture planning, technical design and solution delivery

Plan and manage implementation and deployment of technical solutions worldwide

Provide leadership for a team of employee and consultant resources

Assist with quality assurance testing

You must possess the following qualities:

Ability to meaningfully contribute to the development of a comprehensive, business-oriented systems strategy

Effective team management skills

Required Background/Experience

Bachelor's Degree

+10 years of professional experience with superb communication skills and attention to detail

Expertise in multi-tier J2EE, WebLogic, and Oracle database technologies

Experience delivering highly complex, low latency systems initiatives

Successful outsourced-development management experience

Solid agile software development methodology expertise

Major Pluses to have

Financial industry experience

Understanding of financial markets, statistics, analytics, and market data for equities, bonds, commodities and derivatives
