We are a well funded, recently established company working on a public, global scale Internet project with highly sophisticated and successful US businessman already on board with a small �under-the-radar� office in San Clemente, CA with founders and other team members mostly in LA and southern CA.
We are looking to establish a small �angel� very senior IT development team here in the US to join us early, co-create and quickly take a very refined proven idea to an executable production code accessible by the global audience with the first public release planned for January 2008.
Compensation is above market rates and ranges from $100,000 to $300,000 depending on your skills. We�re looking for team members to fully engage in the project and take it to heart and be co-creators rather than employees. This is more of a �garage-cult-like� YouTube type, yet highly professional, an incredible team being assembled. We expect a lot of innovation and creative challenges taking on a world changing idea, when it comes to development rather than a corporate, dull, 8 to 5 type of the team.
General Requirements: - Being an absolute GREAT person, incredible leader, self managed professional, inventor and �fountainhead�; overall outstanding IT genius. - Experience with development of global enterprise size web applications with the world�s audiences in technologies similar to the below. - Experience of working with applications similar to Facebook in its size/scope, requirements and efforts to build a similar application whether it is on the code level, database level, etc; Our application is in a different domain, but the effort, size of the targeted audience and growth, its approaches to development can be compared to that of Facebook. Our platforms are however different (see detailed specs below). We require a very solid experience in creating, managing similar size project development environment and successfully and quickly delivering features in it. - Experience of working on the open source projects, taking projects to the open source level. - Experience of working in agile development environments (SCRUM). - At least eight years of overall IT experience with a minimum of five years of solid experience related to the specific position you will take.

J2EE Analyst/Designer/Architect (5+ yrs of experience): - Strong experience of designing and architecting highly scalable web portals. - Experience on designing Object Oriented public global audience web applications. - Strong understanding of GoF Design Patterns & J2EE Design Patterns - Experience on Spring, Hibernate or EJB 3.0 is preferable. - Mastery of all aspects of the designer/developer role in relation to complex, distributed enterprise software development using Java/J2EE technologies.
Sr. Software Engineers (5+ yrs of experience): - Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to understand complex business requirements. - Hands-on experience on development web based J2EE applications using JSP, Struts, Servlet, EJB, JMS. - Preferable skill-set: Spring/Hibernate/EJB 3.0/Google Web Toolkit - Portal development experience would be an added advantage. - Open source development experience is a plus - Mastery of all aspects of the designer/developer role in relation to complex, distributed enterprise software development using Java/J2EE technologies.
MySQL or Oracle PL/SQL Database Designer/Architect/Developer (6+ yrs of experience): - Experience on Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and MySQL programming. - Incredible Experience in DB Designing & DB Modeling is a must (a lot of code is written in creative ways and is heavily & dynamically DB driven; a lot of content is generated from DB on the fly) - Experience with working on huge DB of global audience, heavy traffic web applications - Highly preferable skills: DB Performance Tuning & Optimization.
Sr. Software Testing Engineer (5+ yrs of experience): - Strong understanding of SDLC and QA concepts and methodology. - Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to understand complex business requirements. - Ability to design test cases, execute test plans, track and report defects, Ability to create test data. Preparing test plans, estimating testing efforts for a global scale web application. - Highly experienced in Automated testing tools like LoadRunner/QTP.
Sr. Systems Administrator (5+ yrs of experience): - Solid experience with RedHat Linux - Experience of successfully managing development environments of global scale web applications - Experience of successfully setting up, optimizing the production environments of global scale web applications
