I've searched the internet in which I found this question asked, but the answers where not appropriate for solving my problem.

In my website I use the following code

wininfo =window.open(url,text,features);

It shows the URL and the browser name in the title bar. I simply don't want that, because I want to show just the title which I give the the popupscreen.

As extra information I use this code for opening a popup window which reads code from a jsp.

Look up the API for window.open(). You will see options for controlling whether the toolbars and such are displayed or not.

I've done already that, but it looks like that's standard not possible. So I need an alternative way or I misread, but I shall a try again.

Maybe I need to explain my problem.

In the title bar I have

http://127.0.0.1:8090/localhost - MyTitle - Mozilla FireFox
I would like to have - MyTitle -

Not possible. The browsers will put whatever they please in the caption.

I understand so I've to search for an another way for popup's without the use of javascript.

I've read that it's a security issue, because with popup's you have to know from where it came.

Thanks for your answer.
