Typing "using activex controls" into your google toolbar will lead you to the MSDN reference.

The JavaRanch Bunkhouse is a great place to start to find books on all subjects.

There you will find not only lists of books on various Java and web-related subjects, but expert reviews of these books.

Take a look!

I cannot answer your question as I do not use proprietary elements such as ActiveX. You'd probably be best served to explore the table of contents of the book on Amazon or the publisher's site, or to post a question in the Bunkhouse Porch forum.
