how to test AJAX performance ?

I coded a DWR ajax application, how could I test its performance ? How could I simulate 1000 users using this application at same time ?

Thanks

How would you normal test it with 1000 users at the same time?

I assume you want to test the server at 1,000 users since the browser only supports 1. The server can't tell an AJAX call from any other; as Billy Joel says, It's all HTTP to me. Can't you simulate the AJAX calls with any HTTP load tool?

I should specify that I am using DWR reverse ajax., different from the servlet.

Ah, that I don't know about. I did have a design with a server calling Applets but that was all sockets which probably doesn't apply atoll.

How does DWR do that ... send an XHR request that doesn't get answered until the server has a message to send?
