Looking at http://www.manning.com/klein/ I saw that LZX is the language Lazlo is built on. Hmm.

Actually the Laszlo Foundation Class (LFC) library is written in JavaScript (ECMASCript 262 Edition 3). But many of its components and layouts are written in its higher-level LZX language. This made it possible for OpenLaszlo to support different platforms such as Flash, DHTML and J2ME.
