i have a jsp page say Login.jsp from that i am trying to call a function which is inline javascript code embeded inside the script tag inside the head tag now from that function i am trying to call a function from a javascript file say Common.js on click of a submit button but its not getting invoked!!! can anybody please help??

The fact that this is in a JSP is moot. An HTML file gets delivered to the browser no matter how it was generated on the server.
