I am newbie in Javascript and can I learn Javascript from this book or should i first read other book?

It's going to be a challenging, but rewarding and hands-on experience. More thoughts about target audience, also make sure you check the free chapter from the publisher's site, it should give you a good idea if you'll like the book.
