Hi,

I don't think there will be a way when the browser settings blocks pop ups. But not very sure on my answer. Wait for more Ranchers to answer you.

You can always try create a new window with minimal features the size set on it. It would then be as good as a pop-up.

Thank you,

just now i got an idea while reading your question, i think we can use ajax to create our own popups without using default browser popups....

Who needs popups when you can use dynamic divs and layering to show your message? In addition, you can use a div, put an iframe in it, and show the new page...Setting a divs z-index to something higher than 2 should do the trick. Also, if the reference to the div (id) is maintained, you can reuse the same div over and over...just change its size and z-index to hide...(1,1 and z-index < 0)

Popups are just so 2002!

Seriously, popups have gone out of favor as a means of delivering user information. They're intrusive and disruptive.

In my modern web apps, new windows are opened only as links to external sites. Everything else happens in-page.
