problem in Jsp when handling combo box

I have combo box with some values. If i select any value an event should raise and it should be handled or it should call a javascript function and that function should connect with database and should get some values and should be printed in the same page

can you give me some idea. thanks .

No, you don't. Please read this for more information.

In the onchange event of the select element, you will e,ploy Ajax to make a request back to the server to perform the DB operations and return the data to be displayed.
