Positive Energy is a well-funded, rapidly growing startup delivering products designed to make a significant dent in carbon emissions. We're landing major contracts and working hard to expand a communication platform for utilities and state governments designed to target the half of the global warming equation that not enough people are looking at: efficiency and energy demand. Our approach leverages innovative technology, direct marketing and behavioral science expertise, and world-class information and graphic design to change the way millions of people across the country think about and use energy.

About the Job:

We're looking for a smart and talented web developer, who is looking for early-career experience with a top-notch development team. You will work directly with our small development team, working off a blank slate to create impactful, well-designed web front ends for our applications. The product you build will change the way millions of people across the country think about and use energy.

Responsibilities:

* Full ownership of the front-end for our energy efficiency reporting engine, including XHTML/CSS development and dynamic elements coded in JavaScript and Flash
* Responsible for the growth and evolution of our Ruby on Rails and JavaScript webapp
* Work with our Java PDF generation app to implement layouts in XHTML/CSS
* Support development of our corporate website

About You:

* Very strong with XHTML/CSS able to hand-code semantically rich layouts
* Very strong with JavaScript able to craft professional-quality, maintainable code
* Experience with Flash
* You have a BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
* Comfortable with both raster and vector graphics
* Some Ruby on Rails preferred
* You have a strong drive to learn and enjoy challenges
* You love to create beautiful and precise layouts
