Viewing XML in IE5

I downloaded the IE5 and try to view the XML file. Instead of seeing the XML file, the notepad is opening and displaying the XML source for editing.
Please somebody help me on this.Whether I need to do any custom setting in IE5

You will have to create a file association so that IE automatically picks up the xml instead of opening the notepad.
Go to windows explorer, right click on the XML file holidng the SHIFT key down. The context menu popsup and choose the open with.. option. When the list of programs is presented to you, choose the Internet explorer from the list and check the checkbox that says Always use this program to open this file type. Press OK.
This creates a file association so that the next time you try to open an XML file, it uses IE!
