I have been looking for sample source code for creating and executing XPATH expressions but can't seem to find code that matches the parsers I'm using.I'm using the jaxp1.1 parsers (jaxp, xalan, crimson) !
Any ideas where I could look for code snippets ...
Thanks in advance!

XPath is very closely related to XML Transfomrations and XSL. Any good XSL resource should cover a fair amount of XPath stuff. You can play with XPath predicates using a simple XML/XSL and a web browser. You really don't need a parser if your goal is to learn static tranformations.
