Responsibilities:

Produce visual designs to create a better user experience for the public site and internal applications.
Work with the internal team to ensure that an explicit customer focus is maintained throughout project execution.
Contribute to the definition of user/functional requirements for the project.
Creates user scenarios to identify priorities and gaps in requirements.
Convert requirements into focused, understandable deliverables, such as information architecture, navigation, icons, graphics, diagrams, wire frames, interaction design and prototypes.
Develop information architectures for web-based applications.
Define information hierarchy and relationships, classification schemes, navigation systems, and interface design.
Effectively present designs and extract feedback from non-designers.
Effectively interact with development and technology teams.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years experience producing high quality presentation layer code with a portfolio to match.
Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator.
Expertise in HTML, CSS and extensive JavaScript knowledge.
Experience in template creation and integration into scripting environment.
Expertise in AJAX and other Web 2.0 technologies.
Experience designing compelling user interfaces.
Understanding of strengths and limitations of browser-based UIs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
Experience with usability testing.
Commitment to high standards of quality.
