Hi, I am building my own home page as practice. It will be nice to put some quotes or weather info in it. I would like to know how to get data from other website like quotes or weather info from yahoo? Somebody told me I can use SOAP to get XML file back from other sites, but how? Do they put their public functions somewhere I can use? Is anybody having some sample codes I can take a look?
I don't think u really can do that. usually, u need to ask yahoo to offer these service to u. yes. u might can translate results from yahoo to xml docs and re-use it again. But, basically, still, yahoo need to offer these service to u.
Hi, Could you let me know the url for the page on the nasdaq site where you entered the symbol, to get an xml file? I was able to get to the info quotes page but the information returned is in the form of an html page, not a xml page. Thanks, Hema Menon
