I will be finished shortly with SCJP2. I heard XML is a good language to learn. Does it complement Java and how much time would it take to learn? Obviously the book giveaway may benefit my endeavors :-)

XML is not a language but the data format.
XML is very easy to learn, but obviously to interpret XML data computionally you need some language like Java, C/C++, Perl etc.

if u r talking about Java, ofcourse Java supports XML to a large extent, now a days deploying EJB is done thru XML, and J2ee format says deployment descriptor must be written in XML
i guess this one shows u how much XMl does java supports,

Not only Java or SUN, even microsoft supports XML ,in their new release .NET XML plays a vital role,, --SOAP--
XML is the future.........

XML complements Java to a large extent, check out www.xml.com and www.oreilly.com (and find the "XML in a nutshell book" and there are loads of examples and sample chapters outlining XML.
hope this helps!
