I HAVE INSTALLED XALAN ON MY MACHINE, AND AM TRYING ONE OF THE SAMPLE PROGRAMS On running java command i.e java simpleTransform, I get an error Failed Reading value of registry key: Software\javasoft\Java RunTime Environment\CurrentVersion.
Could not figure out what this error is about, has it to do something with secruity on my machine or else. I run the same program on my machine, worked quite well. Could not figure out why this particular machine is giving me this error. Note java program is compiling ok, but does not execute.

Have you installed JRE(Java Running Enviroment) in your machine? I recommend you to download and install the newest version of both Jdk and JRE from Sun. Meanwhile, if you also installed J2EE on your computer and set up the CLASSPATH correctly, then everything will be OK soon. Good Luck!
