java career advice

I am 25years old. I have recently cleared SCJP5.0 certification exam with 93%. Prior to this I had no experience, no knowledge in any of the software languages. It was really tough for me to start learning java in the beginning . In the beginning I studied c++ for 15 days , for a month basics of java and then I prepared 3 months for certification.

You may be thinking what's great in that.

Actually I am B.Tech Mechanical, MBA Marketing Guy with one year of work experience in Marketing. I always had interest in Computers but my parents push me to Mechanical Engg. and MBA(Not from any of the preimer institute).

Now during my job hours I have to sit with one of software developer in my company and seeing him doing coding I now started taking interest in Java.

Now after clearing SCJP I wish to shift to IT sector. I love doing coding a lot, can someone advice me is there any chance for me now in Java (also I am now preparing for SCWCD)to get the JOB.
