Hi, guys, I just cleared my XML test with 66%.
Detail:
Section Title % of Test Score
------------- --------- -----
Nonagree 18% 84%
Design 23% 70%
Information Modeling 25% 52%
XML Processing 10% 57%
XML Rendering 5% 100%
XML Query 19% 57%
Some of experiences I's like to share from you.
1. Not too much syntax question. Don't try to memorize that.
2. Skip all the Design questions until you finsih all other questions. Most of them are based on one scenario. So it makes sense to finish it together.
3. Time is big issue here. I got only 20 miniutes left.
4. only 1 question on format object.
Thanks for all the help. I couldn't do it without this forum. Thanks guys.

Thanks.
Here are more details.
1. I have NO background on XML development. It took me almost 2 weeks to familiar with all those acronyms. Even I have pretty handful experience on Java. That doesn't help too much.
2. After I finished those acronyms, I went through a lot tutorials online, especially IBM ones. Here is the link: http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/
3. The real exam looks pretty much like IBM sample test. As other people said here, some of the questiosns are even twisted from the sample test, but I think only a couple of them. Most of the questions are covered under objectives.
I will add more after I have my head freshed.

Thanks, guys.
I used XML Bible book to prepare my test. Actually I don't quite like the book. It has a lengthy baseball example which will take 4-5 pages everytime the author mentions it. But as other people it has very detailed information on every aspects on XML/XSLT/XPATH. So you can find detailed explaination on every function. So it will be a good reference book though.
I didn't use XML handbook.
As for the preparation method, I used XML bible, XML@Whiz, online resources. Ajith has a pretty decent list of all the resources in this forum.
Most of the questions are concept based. they asked you to choose between Attr/Element, DOM/SAX, XSLT/CSS. Also there are questions ask you to give you the result of XML and XSLT files. They have very simple XPATH in the XSL file, nothing complicated as those in XML@whiz.
As for Design questions, as I said before, skip those first, then try to conquer them once.
But anyway, I was just barely passed the exam. But hope those helps.

Tracy,
Congratulations!
Can you tell us about the XML@Whiz?
Is that helpful ?
Is the XML@Whiz test score similar to your real exam score?
Thanks.

Hi, superwings.
As for XML@Whiz, I'd say it's a pretty descent product. At least you can find 300+ questions to test your knowledge base. Also since this is the only one, you have no other choices. So if you are not too short of money, it's worth a try.
But as I said before, I still think it is under construction. Some of question have wrong answers. Some of them are typos. They need do more work on it. And they won't give me refund even I found at least 10 errors. JWeb+ gave me full refund after I pointed out their errors.
Anyway, that's my opinion.
Good luck.
