Somebody who won a book still didn't get it ??
That precisely is my whining all about !!
I won a book on June 5 (Wireless Programming using J2ME). But I never got it. Inspite of Carl's (Trusiak) repeated checking with the publisher, I am yet to get the book to hand.
Is it something to do with the geography, I mean does it take so loooooooooong to receive the book if he/she is outside US ?? (I reside in India).
Just wanted to know if there are similar cases and of course if possible (still !) get the book to hand.

I've been checking the mailbox for a book I won a month ago, but I figure it's too soon to whine yet.

I received Wireless Programming using J2ME within two weeks after winning it.

yup, seems to be an aweful lot of time....
it defenitely takes more time if you are out of US,
but two months is a little too much.
I am sure Carl is keeping in touch.

Raghav , it takes generally two months or more to reach the book in India. Generally , publishers don't want to spend money on costly airmails. so they send it to their agents in india. Generally in india , it takes more than two weeks to reach the book to your place.

I have recieved the books after 3 months. We all at Javaranch take care to see that the book is received by the winner.
So , Don't worry. You will get it .
Paulin , wherer you reside ? in usa , it will not take more than two weeks or a month , i feel.
I hope all are satisfied. By that time , why don't you submit the review of the books you have read to our bunkhouse section ?
