SimonComputing is dedicated to simplifying the process of building software. We specialize in developing technically challenging Java and C++ based applications, and serve clients in the public and private sectors.

We have an immediate need for skilled Java software developers to work on innovative projects related to national law enforcement. These projects require Java developers interested in applying their strong programming talents to cutting edge technologies. Our projects support the mission of the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Control (ICE) at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

All positions require a full background investigation and US citizenship.

Candidates will have a demonstrable understanding of Java technologies, and have significant development experience using Java/J2EE, server-side (Struts, JSP, XML/XSL, JSF, Oracle), client-side (Java, Swing), Eclipse based development tools, and IBM Middleware. Ideal candidates will: be committed to creating readable, reliable and maintainable code; be willing to learn new technologies; be able to work with minimal supervision; and be relied upon for critical tasks. Essential Skills:

Minimum 3 years Java development experience

J2EE/JSP/Servlets

JDBC

Strong OOP skills

Eclipse based or equivalent IDE

Bachelors degree or equivalent IDE
