problem transforming using JAXP (StreamResult problem)

This code snippet gets a DOMSource as an input and a String file name to which it is supposed to serilizae it to.
But the transformer expects the output file to be present @ the location whereas it is supposed to create it.
It has been workign fine for months now.
It fails only on unix and that directory has write permissions as well.
Infact there is another workflow where a .csv file is written to the same folder and that goes through just fine.

It is throwing a for the file name that i passed.
