I have a XML tree type of application. When it is reloaded, it scrolls to the top when I am working at the bottom. I know in HTML I can use anchors. Is there a way to do it here without getting JavaScript involved? Would I use something like XPointer?

You left out information on the environment you are working in. What is it that is doing the display/editing?
