Problem setting up XML4J

I have downloaded XML4J DOM Parser from IBM, unzipped, and set up the CLASSPATH to refer to the four .jar files. However, I am still getting error message reporting that the "" package is not found, and "DOMParser" class cannot be recognized whenever it's used in a java file.
Do I still need some more packages to be imported or should i do something else? Thanks a lot.
