Xerces C++ Parser Library

Hello everybody...

I try to develop an application on a Sun workstation having a sparc processor. It runs SunOS 5.9. The IDE that I use is Sun ONE Studio 4 update 1 Enterprise Edition (Build 020923) IDE/1 spec= impl=020923. I use C++ programming language. In order to parse XML files, I plan to use Xerces C++ Parser Library. Apache web site says that this library has been developed with Forte C++ Version 6 Update 2 on Solaris 2.7. Will I encounter any incompatibility problems?

I've downloaded Xerces C++ Parser Library and copied it to my Sun workstation. Do I need to really follow the build instructions in order to include the relevant header files and develop my own SAX parser. I will build my application with Sun One Studio and just want to include some library files in order to make things work.

Thanx in advance...

Perhaps you should consider asking this from the Xerces-C mailing list ( ) or in the Sun Studio C++ forum. It's just my hunch, of course, but somehow I doubt you'll get too many answers in this forum.
